The
Daughters of the King is an Order for women in the Episcopal Church
with Chapters in the Roman Catholic Church and in the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America. Daughters are dedicated to prayer and service for Christ's
sake. DOK normally meets twice a month on Monday evenings. |
They
engage in study, prayer and service, including a ministry of writing to
those for whom they pray. They also provide receptions after funerals

| St. Luke's Guild - This social and service organization for women has been part of St. Luke's from its earliest days. . | Meetings are held quarterly. The Guild also sponsors rummage sales and other money-making projects. Parish
Nurse Ministry Francis Osborne, R.N. is our Parish Nurse.
The program is designed to promote good health practices among parishioners
and to assist in helping anyone with health difficulties. It is
not here to replace any existing health care, but to compliment
the health care you receive. The work of the Parish Nurse includes
helping parishioners access the Sacraments and the prayers of other members
of the congregation.

Enabling
them to remain as active within the parish as their individual health allows,
so that they may receive love and support from all members; helping parishioners
interpret and understand medical issues; and promoting good health through
classes, projects, and the dissemination of general information on health-related
issues. Francis also writes a column in Luke's Log, our monthly St. Luke's Church newsletter. |

| Prayer Chain and Intercessory Prayers. Members of the Prayer Chair are ready to pray in cases of urgent need: accidents, serious illnesses, and other life-disrupting events. | Prayers continue until no longer needed. | Lay Eucharist Ministers - Licensed by the Bishop, LEM's assist the priest. | They serve Eucharist, read lessons and lead the congregation in the prayers of the people.
